Season 05: Heritage, Reimagined

International Heritage Fashion Week returned to New York City on September 10, 2026, for its fifth season during New York Fashion Week, bringing together designers, models, artisans, performers, beauty professionals and creatives for a day centered on craftsmanship, cultural identity and contemporary fashion.

Founded and produced by celebrity designer Prashant Goyal, IHFW has continued to evolve as a platform where heritage is not treated as something preserved in the past, but as a creative language that can be reinterpreted for the present.

Season 05 presented a diverse collection of design perspectives, including Heritage India Fashions, Ruchi Goyal Crochet, Willow Bean Studio, Rohan Narang Fashions, SteevTeez and GN Collections, each bringing its own point of view to the runway. From Indian textile traditions and extensive hand-crochet work to romantic, contemporary and culturally influenced collections, the season reflected the range of voices that has become central to the IHFW identity.

The event extended beyond the runway with Fashion Awards Night, recognizing emerging and established members of the IHFW community across fashion, media, performance, leadership and the creative arts. Longtime IHFW host His Highness Prince Mario-Max returned for Season 05, while performances and special presentations added another dimension to the evening.

A Season That Reached Beyond the Runway

Season 05 generated an exceptional media response, with coverage beginning before Fashion Week and continuing well beyond the final runway presentation.

Pre-show editorial coverage introduced the season and its return to New York Fashion Week, while post-show reporting expanded into full event recaps, designer-focused stories, Awards Night coverage and photography-led features. The result was a media footprint that documented Season 05 from several distinct perspectives rather than through a single event recap.

Coverage appeared across U.S. fashion, culture and news outlets including New York Style Guide, Fashion Trendsetter, New York News Daily, Times Square Chronicles and Urban Global Talent, alongside international editorial coverage from Grazia Slovenia.

The breadth of that coverage was equally significant. Publications explored the overall Season 05 experience, individual designers and collections, Heritage India Fashions’ runway presentation, the Fashion Awards Night, IHFW’s creative community and the continuing role of Prince Mario-Max within the event.

Season 05 also reached audiences through social and video coverage, including independent creator content and amplification through the digital platforms of participating media outlets. Together, editorial reporting, photography, video and social distribution allowed the story of the season to continue circulating long after the audience left the venue.
